Inflation with large supergravity corrections

چکیده
It is well known that large Hubble-induced supergravity corrections to the inflaton field can ruin the flatness of the potential, thus creating a tension between slow-roll inflation and supergravity. In this paper we show that it is possible to obtain a cosmologically flat direction, embedded within the minimal supersymmetric standard model, despite very large super-Hubble corrections. As an illustration, we show that a flat direction which is lifted by an n 1⁄4 6 operator matches the current cosmic microwave background data for a wide range of the Hubble parameter, 10 GeV & Hinf & 10 8:5 GeV. Our approach can be applied to any F-term inflationary model.

Hybrid Inflation in Supergravity with (SU(1, 1)/U(1)) Kähler Manifolds
In the presence of fields without superpotential but with large vevs through D-terms the mass-squared of the inflaton in the context of supergravity hybrid inflation receives positive contributions which could cancel the possibly negative Kähler potential ones. The mechanism is demonstrated using Kähler potentials associated with products of SU(1, 1)/U(1) Kähler manifolds. In a particularly sim...
متن کاملAn Effect of α′ Corrections on Racetrack Inflation
We study the effects of α corrections to the Kähler potential on volume stabilisation and racetrack inflation. In a region where classical supergravity analysis is justified, quantum corrections can nevertheless be relevant for correctly analyzing moduli stabilisation and the onset of inflation.
متن کاملF-term Hybrid Inflation, the η-Problem and Extra Dimensions
F-term hybrid inflation models in the context of supergravity generically have corrections to the inflaton mass squared of the order of H2 (the η-problem). In addition they have a problem with large deviations of the spectrum of density perturbations from scale-invariance due to non-renormalizable corrections to the superpotential. Here we show that an increase of the expansion rate at large en...

متن کاملInitial Conditions for Supersymmetric Inflation
We perform a numerical investigation of the fields evolution in the supersymmetric inflationary model based on radiative corrections. Supergravity corrections are also included. We find that, out of all the examined initial data, only about 10% give an adequate amount of inflation and can be considered as ”natural”. Moreover, these successful initial conditions appear scattered and more or less...
